WHY IS ROHS, CE AND FCC COMPLIANCE IMPORTANT?

All of SerialComm products have passed RoHS, FCC and CE compliance testing and were certified by a reputable, qualified and accredited testing laboratory. Certifying our products, assures our customers that we meet strict guidelines for compatibility, and standards compliance for product safety and environment safety.

Our product safety certificates are not just graphic logos on our website. They represent very strict, rigorous and expensive product safety tests that are very important to many of our indiscriminate customers. Serialcomm has chosen TÜVRheinland of North America, a National Recognized Testing Laboratory, in the United States as well as the European Union. They have earned a reputation as one of most thorough and impartial testing laboratories in the world.

All our products are certified RoHS compliant. RoHS stands for the Restriction of use of Hazardous Substances. RoHS is a legal European Directive restricting the substance levels of Lead, Mercury, Cadmium and other hazardous materials. RoHS regulation is part of a growing wave of environmental laws being implemented around the world. In the United States, individual states are now passing laws restricting these substances such as Lead and Mercury and are calling for U.S. adherence of the RoHS standard. In addition many, many companies in the U.S. are voluntarily strictly adhering to the RoHS standard.

In addition, all our products are certified FCC and CE compliant. FCC and CE testing are extensive, time consuming and expensive. It is important that electrical products are FCC certified before they offered for sale in the United States and likewise CE certified before sold in the European Union. The FCC and CE certification process includes developing a test plan, executing the required EMI/EMC tests, writing the test reports, generating an OSHA approved certificate of compliance and issuing a declaration of conformity. The EMI/EMC standards and tests are complicated and extensive and can be examined on our Compliance Declaration Webpage.

Although our certificate registration numbers are listed on our detailed web pages, please request the actual certificates if they are required.

To get an idea of the complexities of these tests, we have provided a sample gallery of some lab setup photos that were taken from one of our test reports. SEE BELOW:
