6) DOES THE DATA DIRECTION NEED TO BE CONTROLLED BY THE RS232 HANDSHAKE LINES ON SerialComm CONVERTERS?
Answer: The use of RS232 handshake lines on our RS232 to RS422 and RS232 to RS485 converters is optional. These SerialComm converters come with the auto-sensing auto-turnaround circuitry built-in. This circuitry automatically senses the direction of the data being transmitted and received, and manages the RS232 handshake lines accordingly.
