3HOW IS A LOOPBACK TEST PERFORMED ON A SerialComm USB TO TTL ADAPTER?

Answer: To test the USB to TTL converter, connect Pin 3 (TTL OUT) to Pin 2 (TTL IN) on the adaptor's TTL connector. Run any HyperTerminal software such as AccessPort, which is a free download available on the SerialComm website under the downloads menu. Setup the HyperTerminal baud rate, data bits, parity bit, and stop bits. Then output ASCII characters from the HyperTermimnal. The output characters should echo-back to the HypterTermainal input. This simple loopback procedure tests both the transmit and receive functions of the USB to TTL converter.
