4) CAN CONVERTERS BE USED WITHOUT USING THE TERMINAL BLOCKS?
Answer: Yes. Use of terminal blocks provided with many or our offered converters is optional. Without the terminal block, our devices connect to a cable connector, typically a 9-pin DB type (DB9). Where the appropriate cable connector is not available, terminal blocks offer a convenient screw-terminal connection solution. Some of our terminal blocks include a built-in 120 Ohm termination resistor, while others have no termination resistor. Terminal blocks are included with most of our products.
